Skill Management in Confluence or in Jira

Mari Car October 23, 2018

Hi,

I have a question. Till now we managed our professional skills in confluence with the plugin "Skill Finder". Now the addon will be retired from the market and we need an alternative. Can you recommend a plug in for Jira of confluence?

Thank you very much and best regards,

Mari

Hi!

As I see it will be as core functionality

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212555/skill-finder/version-history

Of course, you can install it manually/

Cheers.

If you're using Jira Cloud, let me suggest our app Skills for Jira as an alternative. It lets you:

  1. Specify skill requirements for a task and see all qualified experts
  2. Search issues by experts and restrict workflow transitions to experts-only
  3. Find skill gaps, bottlenecks or scarcity for a given JQL and team
  4. Explore the organization skill map, finding users by a combination of skills or checking which skills people have in common
  5. Configure work queues and let the team pull their next best task they have skills for

I'd be also quite curious to hear about any other capabilities you are looking for in a skill management addon.
