Hello community, we're using confiforms a lot for gathering structured data from our colleagues. While most of the team is fine with notifications from confiforms webhooks in slack and ms teams I'm still looking for a way to generate generic confluence notifications for changes within confiforms as it was a change on the page itself.
As workaround we're using a IFTTT Rule to create a comment on the page and an additional scriptrunner event listener to detect this comment and delete it. This workaround needs a lot of ressources and is very fragile.
Is there anybody out there with a smarter way to generate notifications when a plugin/macro on a page is changed instead the page itself?
Thanks a lot
Cornelius
Thank you for your trust in ConfiForms and very glad to hear you are using it a lot!
ConfiForms has a way of sending in-app notifications - https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Configuring+ConfiForms+IFTTT+actions+and+rules#ConfiguringConfiFormsIFTTTactionsandrules-SendNotification
Unless these are not disabled in your Confluence
Have you tried to use those?
Alex
This was a classic RTFM problem....
I've seen this option, but was mislead through the recipients option description as list of users and tried to figure out how to access watchers as a metadata from the current page. With your hint i've seen the direct reference [watchers].
Thanks a lot for your quick reply and this great plugin!
