Send email to watchers when there is a state change in Confluence page

Suvidhaa M S May 11, 2022

Hi,

We are using Comala Document Management Plugin for page approval process. There is a requirement that when there is a state change from Draft to Ready or Reviewed etc.. there should be a email triggered to watchers of that page

We have 'Script Runner for Confluence' plugin also installed. I could see the listener (stateEventChange) will send an email to user and group. But I need it to send the email to watchers at page level

Kindly guide me the possibility

Hello @Suvidhaa M S, welcome to the community!

You can do this using Comala Document Management trigger and action macros. Our {send-email} macro specifically supports sending a notification to page watchers, see https://wiki.comalatech.com/display/CDML/send-email+macro for more details.

If you need any help setting this up, please reach out to our friendly Customer Success team at https://support.comalatech.com. It would be helpful if you could attach a Support Package to your ticket so we can understand your current workflow set up - see https://wiki.comalatech.com/display/CDML/Support+Console+-+Space+Tools

All the best

James
