Search not covering all spaces

Sarah Boeckmann June 25, 2013

I was testing the search function and it seems like the results are not capturing content from one of the five spaces (in confluence) our company has created and I'm wondering if there is anyway to figure out why?

Hallo Sarah

In addition to the possibility described by Bruna, it could be that the space has been archived. If that's the case, it's easy to un-archive it. Go to the Space Details screen, and set the "Status" option.

The docs describe the effect of archiving, and where you can set the option:

Hi Sarah!

Usually this is regarding the restrictions set for thoose spaces.

Please check if the user that is trying to find these contents has the proper permissions.

To do that go to: Confluence Admin > Space Permissions.

If the permissions are properly set but you still cannot find some spaces or pages, you miht rebuild the indexes from scratch as described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Rebuild+the+Content+Indices+from+Scratch

Kind Regards
