Remove big files in confluence

eprovorov February 20, 2024

I have lack of storage issue in confluence, after exploring some spaces and it's attachment I didn't find any huge files but as I see total spaces size is 9Gb instead of required files, how to detect each space storage utilisation and where are these big files

Thanks a lot. I've fixed it manually, spending sometime surfing spaces and exploring attachments and their bins, it's a pity that to reach such simple goal I have to use extra addons and something like that

Hello @eprovorov

The Viewtracker app in the Atlassian Marketplace comes with useful reports on this topic.
On the one hand, you have the new Instance Report which tells you which Spaces are registering the largest increase in attachments and data storage usage. It also provides an overview of the number of attachments that are viewed or downloaded in the desired date range.

The Attachment Report or the Content & Usage Report helps you to identify which files are the largest, which are viewed, and which are not consumed.

Hi @eprovorov,

You can find all space attachments and sort them by size in Space settings > Manage content > Attachments.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any API that could retrieve attachment metadata from spaces, so perhaps marketplace add-ons can help you find out the total number of attachments. I took a quick look and this addon might be for you: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222381/attachments-manager-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
