Can I use jira to bring in data to display in a table and also have a editable comment column

Manish Shah July 14, 2023

I am trying to create a report in confluence to bring back jira Key, Summary, Assignee, Weight fields and also in the report I have a comment field (not in jira).

I want to display the data in a table and the last column is the comment field (not jira comment field).

How can I make the Key as link to jira issue and the other fields including the comment appear in the report?

Do I have to create the comment field in jira in order to associate the comment with the jira issue?

I could then update the jira issue appearing in the report including the comment field and this would then update the jira ticket too with all the field values??

HI @Manish Shah ,

We can suggest trying our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

With its Table Transformer macro you'll be able to combine your automatically generated Jira Issues macro and manually created comments in Confluence.

Please check the second part of this Community thread - seems that your case is the same.
