Quick Search - not finding text on pages

Lisa Todesco
April 7, 2013

When searching for text using the quick search function and entering 'CR Register' which appears on a page - this page is not found in the quick search drop list of results. We need the quick search to do this, how can we get this to work?

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

* Navigate to Confluence Admin > Cache Statistics

** Click flush all

* Navigate to Confluence Admin > Content Indexing

** Rebuild the index

Hope that helps.

Hi Ryan,

I have done that and now our search is worse than previously. If I try to search for 'CR Register' which is a link text on a page - it does not display that page in the results. However if I put the labels 'CR' and 'Register' on the page then it finds them. I don't think this is very good. Our users are not going to label every link text that appears on a page.

Why is it not finding the text that is clearly on the page?

Cheers,

Lisa
