Question notifications

Hi,

I am new in Confluence and I am trying to setup a space for collaboration with colleagues. I have already created a few pages. However, I need help regarding questions and answers. I have created a page for questions. My problem is that people in the space should get notified when there is a new question. This way the can stay in touch when other colleagues need help. However, they shouldn't get any notification when there are answers, because this would create clutter.

Hi Yannis,

if you have both questions and answers on the same page, it's not easy to achieve what you want. Users may watch the page, but then they will get an email notification every time there're changes to the page - regardless of the content, question or answer.

If Your colleagues are disciplined enough, you could train them to untick the "Notify Watchers"-Box next to the "Save"-Button when they post an answer.
