Hi,
i have some problems trying to reset the admin password of confluence:
This is the scenario:
1x Virtual Machine with confluence and jira installed, each one works by a different port.
Confluence version 7.1, JIRA version 8.5 self-hosted.
The confluence user repository is linked to JIRA.
I deleted that link because jira now goes with Active directory, and now i have the problem trying to authenticate to Confluence. I followed this process:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/restore-passwords-to-recover-admin-user-rights-158390.html
At the first attempt I managed to login with recovery_admin but when i try to change the password of the admin user, it gives an error, "error changing the password".
I stop the confluence and trying again, then the web browser shows error 404. On the catalina.out log i see errors:
"java.lang.IllegalStateException: Illegal access: This web application instance has already been stopped. Could not load []. The eventual stack trace that follows has been motivated by an error launched with debugging reasons as well as to try to finish the thread that motivated the illegal access and has no functional impact."
Now confluence only works if I remove the parameter on the setenv.sh
-Datlassian.recovery.password = XXXXX
