People Directory: Sort

I have seen some answers that people directory is just a list that is not customisable. 

Is it at least Sortable? 

In a big organisation, it's almost a redundant feature if it's just a list of names with no way to group, sort or pick who we are looking at. 

So my questions are as follows, 

1 Can I sort it by department in the company? 

2 Can I sort it by Spaces in Confluence ?

3 Can I sort it by user fields, for example how long someone is in the company?
