Parameter DBMasterUserPassword failed to satisfy constraint

Hi

Any idea why the confluence template keeps giving error?

I use the following template.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/deploying-enterprise-scale-confluence-on-aws-a-step-by-step-guide-974374349.html

But it keeps saying

Parameter DBMasterUserPassword failed to satisfy constraint: Must be at least 8 characters and include 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number, and 1 of the following symbols: ! # $ { * : [ = , ] - _ + % &

I am very sure I have the correct password format. For example these are the random password I tried and did not pass thru.

  • JLKJ@#0klckmase123
  • KJ@#ak23
  • KJ@#ak234

Just in case someone else has this problem.

The comment on the Password Constraint is NOT consistent.
During the Cloud Formation itself, it says

Parameter DBMasterUserPassword failed to satisfy constraint: Must be at least 8 characters and include 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number, and 1 of the following symbols: ! # $ { * : [ = , ] - _ + % &

But on the template itself: https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/deploying-enterprise-scale-confluence-on-aws-a-step-by-step-guide-974374349.html , it says

The password for the master (postgres) account. This password should be 8-128 alphanumeric characters and include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and at least 1 symbol (excluding /, @, &, ",').
