Page link on database - How and Why

I read the post about page creation from databases, but im stuck with question how and why would i use this?

I could not find documentation about this functionality nor did i manage to get it work. (How do you actually create pages when page creation is toggled on?)

In addition, why would i ever use this? Whats the purpose?

I can just copy a page from existing project to a new one, why would i need databases to do the same thing?

Hi @LAL

Well, this side of the fact that DB seems to be broken at the moment (the menu on the right hand side under the search box is missing....)

The only two use cases for the feature I could think of:

  • You have a specific project that's based around the DB which, being the central point, would be an ideal place to create and organize content.
  • You already have all the pages from your space in a DB (something I dealt with in my article here) and you don't want to forget about adding new pages to the DB manually every time you create a page the usual way. So you alter the workflow and you add pages thru the DB.
I tested it once and it did work... but my team rejected the idea unanimously in about 4 seconds :)
