Page Edit Restrictions are showing own user even if user has not been added

Jan February 7, 2019

This is a really strange one to me and I am quite sure that this has not always been this way:

When someone restricts a page for Editing to himself, I can view these restrictions and the restrictions will also show my user, even though I was not added to the restrictions, and I am also not able to edit the page. This is very confusing. I can add myself to the edit restrictions again - then I am able to edit.

Is this a strange behaviour in our instance or standard?

Hi, Jan.

Based on the description, we can see you have Add restrictions. It gives you permission to apply page-level restrictions to a page or blog post. You can restrict a page for viewing, or just for editing.

Can you check if you have the add restriction permission on that space?

Yes sure, if have restriction permissions on that space. Still I would not expect to find myself in the list of edit-users when I have not been added there. And I am also not able to edit that page even though I see myself with edit permission on page level.
