We are suing Confluence as a Knowledge Base. 

Can we create alerts on pages to review and update the content?

There are a couple of apps in the Atlassian marketplace, which might help:

• Keep it up to date, a simple up which shows you which pages to edit
• Document Control, our app, which allows you to remind reviewers by email and sign pages.

Do these fulfill your requirements?

Do you know if it informs by email when pages needed to be updated?
