Overwriting office documents.

We are having difficulties when editing in office, because there is no way of knowing if someone else is in the document before you save and get the option of "keeping your version" or "keeping their version". Is there any way of avoiding this problem? We are loosing alot of information, and we have to use office documents.

The only solution I heard of (didn't try) is an addon "Arsenale Lockpoint" for the server version.
