In our Atlassian account we have created 2 spaces, I want to remove/archive the one space from the account. But I am not able to do that as I don't have full permission to this space though I am admin to the confluence account.
This is taking complete free space and not letting us add any content in other space. Please help with request as soon as possible as it blocking the team documentation work. Highly appreciate your response on this. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Bindu.
Hi @tbindu
Are you seeing the option to delete the space (send it to trash) it is not showing at all for the space you want to delete, when you go to the Space Settings?
If this is not showing for you, this might be due to the lack of space administration permissions for the space.
Being an administrator of the product not necessarily grant you automatically space permissions to space nor full space permissions, including the space administration.
However, if you are seeing a different problem, please let us know, as we would need to check further if this is returning an error or stuck for you after the deletion was triggered on your side.
As you mentioned this was from another account (site/confluence) it is possible the permissions were different there and this reflects on the permissions in your site.
For example, the space could be granting space admin for a user only and wouldn't allow you to make changes there.
If you are not seeing the option there, please try starting a trial on Confluence Standard to try changing the Permissions for the space.
If that still doesn't work after changing the space permissions and then triggering the deletion from the space, and purging from the site at Confluence Settings > Trashed spaces, please let me know and we can investigate further on a support ticket.

Jessica

Thanks for sharing a screenshot of what you are seeing, @tbindu
It seems you don't have the space administrator role yet, so you will need to recover permissions for this space first.
Even though the space permissions were not granted to your user, this is something you can quickly recover access to any space in your instance as you are a product admin, by following the steps below:
For more information, please refer to the documentation below:
After that, all options should be displaying in your Space Settings, for this specific space and you should be able to send the space to trash, or even do an export backup, if necessary.
Hope this helps!
Jessica

Hi @tbindu Welcome to the community!
I do not see any restrictions on deleting the space in the free plan. You can refer to the following post.
Permissions and restrictions in the Free plan
Please confirm that you have an admin role for this space?
If you are still unable to delete it, I saw a bug reported on the free plan previously, so I will ask the Atlassian team to assist further.

Thanks for the reply @Manoj Gangwar
I don't have the admin role for this space. I have exported a confluence content from different account and imported as a space to this account. I am wondering this might be the reason why I don't have the admin role to this space. And we don't want this space any more as it's a duplicate of other confluence account.
Can you please help with delete the space. Thanks

Do you have Confluence admin access? If not then reach out to your confluence admins and ask them to delete the space or grant access.
