New to Confluence...

Stacy Dow November 4, 2016

I'm a tech writer and I'm working with a new documentation space in Confluence.

I've treated pages like topics and xrefed them within the same tree/space. When we send to PDF output, the xrefs break (try to point to the confluence page rather than the equivalent PDF page). Help?

How are you doing the ref-ing? Using Includes works fine when exporting to PDF.

Is there more than one way to xref? I'm using the link and linking to other pages... Also, where is the "Includes" option? (again, sorry! Still new!)

The main way to reuse information in Confluence is to use the Excerpt macro plus the Include Excerpt macro or just the Include Page macro.

So since it sounds like you have a separate page for each topic, on the target page, use the Include Page macro for each page you want appended.
