Need a users to view not edit

We use Jira/Confluence as our tool in IT, but I would like the rest of the company to view our confluence pages. I believe they have to have a license which is what I don't need. No use for a license if they can view only. How can I let them view?

I remember an anonymous setting but doesn't that open up to the world? I just want people at my company to see not everyone.

Yes, Anonymous means anyone anywhere in the world can access the pages with whatever permissions you allocate to Anonymous - it becomes a public web page.

To restrict access to people just within your Company they need to have a Username and password the can use.

The simplest and cheapest from the point of view of the user-count against your licence is to create a generic Username and issue that to everyone.
But note if someone leaves the Company they could still login remotely - or post the login details on Facebook - so you would have to remember to change the password for everyone, and tell everyone to change the login each time someone leaves sad
I would suggest that generic logins should really only be used for short term access for specific projects or activities which you intend to close down.
Noting as well that if someone Blogs or Comments on something you have no idea who has done so.

I would suggest it is an easier management process to issue everyone with their own unique Username since you can revoke their access without disrupting everyone else.
Also having their own Username engenders a feeling of privileged access so the individual is not likely to post their access details "on Facebook"
And, although you might think everyone is naturally interested and has the time to troll around your IT dept Space to see what is happening, they are more likely to do so if you use the power of Confluence as a collaboration platform where they can post information/questions interactively.

Raoul Kaiser,

The anonymous view will allow all the world to view. :/

Do you have JIRA Service Desk? If you have it, you can setup a knowledge base internal only for view.

Lemme know if you have any doubt.
