Hi!
If I type "@" while writing a comment or editing a page I don't get suggestions for a username to mention - nothing happens.
We're running on confluence 4.2, I tested it on Chrome and Firefox (both the latest version). My client PC is running on Windows 7 (German) and German keyboard layout.
You can try to rebuild the index (Confluence Admin > Content Indexing > Search Index > Rebuild). However, if the problem persists, you can next try to rebuild the content indices from scratch.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, it works! Just rebuilding the index didn't help, but doing it from scratch like described in the documentation did the trick.

Do you have access to the "people directory"? Maybe it's hidden?

Does the autocomplete feature work with attachments and macros? Otherwise you might have disabled it:
To enable or disable the autocomplete trigger characters:
- Go to your name (the 'User' menu) at the top of the page and choose Settings.
- Choose Editor under 'Your Settings' in the left-hand panel.
- Click Edit.
- Either:
- Disable autocompletion by selecting Disable Autocomplete.
- Enable autocompletion by clearing Disable Autocomplete.
- Click Submit.

Hey Christian, thanks for the answer. I can access the People Directory. And the autocomplete feature works with both, attachments and macros.
