Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a global company wiki/information management/ticketing system via confluence+jira service desk >>> Refined (Reader/User Portal). For normal Confluence pages I have no problems, everything is perfect. But at the end of the day, it's not possible to transfer all documents from classic Word/Pdfs to Confluence pages.
We have some fancy sales brochures, power points or firmware/software etc. and at the moment there is no technical solution to implement such files (I don't want to add the file to a page or just insert the link on a page, I want to see the content directly on the screen as it is currently with the smart link pages).
However, since the ability to create smart link pages has been around for a while, I think a solution is within reach. Does anyone know if there is a possibility to add labels to such a page? Or does anyone know how I can make this suggestion to the Confluence team? Because imagine if we can treat external content in the same way as Confluence pages... from that moment on, Confluence can become the leading information management system. Atlassian Itelligence would then only have to be able to read and learn the content of these smart links and we would have all the information in one place, without media breaks etc. I think that the topic of Smart Link Pages has great potential if you try to view them in the same way as a conventional Confluence Page.
Concrete case: If I could give the Smart Link page labels, then it would be listed in my macro (Filter by Label) like a normal page. This would open up a lot of possibilities, as we could treat everything the same in Confluence, regardless of the file.
Best Regards
Matthias
Did you ever find a solution to this?
