We have configured LDAP to Crowd & Crowd is connected to Confluence. If we configure LDAP to Confluence for synchronizing the user Directories then does crowd get affected to authenticate to Confluence. And how the priority should be?

Anusha,

The question is not clear to me, could you please elaborate more ?

Are you saying you have multiple user directories in Confluence, 1 - Crowd and 2 - LDAP (about to configure) and do you want to know how confluence authentication works?

If yes, the users will be authenticated based the order and priority of the user directory you configured in Confluence. If you put the Crowd directory as top (first) order then the login users will be fetched and authenticated against crowd. If the user does not found in crowd then it will go to the next directory (second) for authentication and so on..

Hope its clear

-Shankar
