As a SaaS platform, I want to create a self-serve knowledge base with articles about my products. I've been looking for external options like Intercom, HubSpot ServiceHub, etc. but those are super expensive and I want to limit my information to the already existing sub-processors e.g. Atlassian. Has anyone created such an external Knowledge Base using Confluence e.g. like these images? If yes, any how-to links would be highly appreciated.
Hi @kkuldeep ,
Welcome to the Community! I believe our app Scroll Viewport could be exactly what you’re looking for.
Scroll Viewport enables you to publish your Confluence content as an online help center or knowledge base. You can easily customize the the theme to ensure it looks and feels like your company’s brand, add a custom domain, and even integrate with several tools for analytics and support, like Jira Service Management.
Even Atlassian is using Scroll Viewport to publish their documentation from Confluence (have a look at the Jira Knowledge Base). We also have plenty more public examples to share:
Easy Agile (https://help.easyagile.com/)
Emplifi (https://docs.emplifi.io/)
Juno (https://help.junolive.com/)
You can explore the feature set and some more examples here.
Like any app, Scroll Viewport is free to try on the Atlassian Marketplace! If you have any questions, you can book a demo with our team or don’t hesitate to reach out directly: help@k15t.com.
Cheers, Shannon (K15t)
Hello @kkuldeep
I'm the person who's behind the Emplifi site that @Shannon Meehan _K15t_ shared.
We're using Confluence as a backend (as a CMS and for docs life-cycle management) and then Viewport as a front end for our customers.
The big advantage of Viewport is that it makes your content completely independent of Confluence. In other words, you don't have to enable anonymous access, your Confluence space can remain fully protected.
Also, you can put the site to your own domain.
(Oh, and Atlassian uses viewport to build their Doc site :) "Powered by Confluence and Scroll Viewport." )
