Is there no means to include an excerpt within the cell of a table?

To allow the cell contents to appear on another page.

N.B. I know you can add a table to an excerpt, but can you add a excerpt within a table, and if not is there any plans to allow this in the future?

As for now your case is not possible due to the new Cloud editor limitations - the new editor is based on iFrames and doesn't allow nesting.
