Is there a way to update release versions directly from JIRA on to a confluence page?

I am trying to build a table in confluence with all our applications and systems and their version numbers to be updated automatically based on the jira release versions or when they are marked released  in JIRA. Is there a way to achieve this? If yes is there any documentation or steps to follow to accomplish this?

Hey @Srikanth Mamidala

I'm not aware, that this is possible. The jira macro only provide information from jira issues, not from releases.

You could create a list with all issues from a particular version.

I am looking just for version numbers. Is it possible to add a feature to add that for future?

This will be good way to automate to know what versions applications are at any given point of time.

At the moment I don't know how you could achieve this. I searched some plugins, but didn't get any good results. I also searched the open feture requests with no results.

Perhaps you could raise a feature request here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
