Is there a way to add a date to the checkbox without editing the page?

We are trying to have users go to a confluence page and check the box and add a date without exiting the page for ease of use is there a way to do this?

I can think of no way to make this happen out of the box. I may want to search the Atlassian Marketplace to see if a paid plug in exists.
