Is there a way for Content by Label (or something else) to prune one or more trees?

I need to do a search on content to display a list of pages based on a specific label. However, at the same time, I didn't want the items with that label from one (or more specific) trees (folders or pages).

I was trying the Content by Label Macro but it seems to only allow you to restrict things to one tree i.e. only include one tree (with ancestor) in the search. Not the inverse of that, "include all trees but that one tree" in the search.

NOT operator (-minus) seems limited to labels from what I know.

Any suggestions?
