Is it still possible to embed databases into page templates?

I made a template a few months ago that had a view of a database embedded within it, very handy. But now when I try to do the same thing with a new template, the "embed database" command seems to have disappeared! Was this feature deprecated? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hi @Chris Masson

I believe this has been answered in another thread linked below:

As described in this documentation, the embed database feature is not enable for Confluence page template.

Hi @Chris Masson

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

As Septa mentioned, this is currently not possible to add the database macro in order to embed it or use in a Confluence Cloud template, and indeed it is on our official documentation:

Currently, the ability to use the embed database or the database Macros is not enabled for Confluence Templates.

There is a feature request in place to gather the interest of users and track its progress here:

Feel free to add yourself as a watcher to receive all updates and also vote and comment on the issue.

As a workaround, depending on the case, you can copy the URL link from the database (like you would do from a page URL link on the browser) and paste it into the custom template and embed it like a smart link (similar on what you can do with youtube or google links) and chose to diplay the smart link as "embedded" to display the database.

This should display the existing database created into the template.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Jessica
