Is it possible to simply upload a file?

Nigel Ainscoe April 15, 2024

I can see how I can import a Word document but can't find anywhere I can simply upload a file and store it in its raw format. I was hoping to upload some PDF files.

Am I correct in thinking this is not supported?

You can drag and drop files into Confluence and it will store it as an attachment.

Ah ha, I've spotted that I can simply insert a file into a page!

Hi Nigel, where did you spot this, as I am in the same boat. Thanks

Iv just dragged and dropped but I had to create an extra page, is there any way to get it to open via a link? but I presume that is only for public portals such as tango etc

Hi Matt,

Create a test page to get the hang of it. Add a table with a couple of columns and a few rows. Place your cursor in one of the table cells and click the "Add image, video, or file" button on the editing ribbon at the top of the page and the Open File dialogue opens. Select your document and you are done. You can right-click and select preview or download to view
