The idea is that I want to create a Test Space in which users can go in and do what ever they like in terms of figuring out how to use macros and the like.
At the moment I have a space which I've created and set as private. So I, the administrator can only see and use but ideally every user could use and abuse this area.
Now it sounds all well and good adding this space and naming it test but I need to make it isolated from the rest of confluence. In that I don't want users to be linking to pages in the test space from in live spaces/pages by accident or on purpose.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi, essentially if you make the view restriction of that space only to you, all the users won't be able to use it or even view it. It won't be even be available in the search result. Therefore there will be very less possibility for user to link to that space unless they have proper permission. If the other users that don't have permission saw that link, they won't be able to get into the space.
I fail to see what this has to do with my question as I've stated that I've made a closed test space for myself and I know that no one else can see or use it at the moment.
What I would like is more a long the lines of what Kay has said but without the need to have another instance of Confluence running. E.g. a single space that is isolated from the rest of confluence.
