Is it possible to create a template from an existing confluence page?

I just created a page, put much effort into it (huge table with a lot of question and check-boxes) and now I'm asking my self why not having that as a template for re-use.

Is it possible to copy that page to the space templates?

Directly in the UI, no, I'm afraid it is not.

The quickest option I've found is to open the page in edit mode, select all the content, then paste it into a newly created empty template.  Clunky, and sometimes some elements need a bit of tidying, but it mostly works.
