I have certain macros that i do not want other users to remove from the page.
I only want them to manage the content.
What you can do in that case is to create a page that they do not have access to edit, and then create other pages that they do access to edit and has the content that you want them to edit. Then include that content on the page they cannot edit using Excerpt Include or Include Page. Check out the Excerpt Include and Include Page macros. I think that would get you what you want.
Just pointing out that this is exactly what I wanted to recommend him... Good Answer.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Unfortunately, it doesnt work for me.
1. The Excerpt Include Macro can still be removed by the user that is allowed to edit the page. What i want is to restrict them from editing or removing particular macros.
2. The User macros don't work when it is done via Excerpt Include.
Thank you for the proposed solution though.
