Is image drag and drop broken?

Clint Buhs February 8, 2017

Recently, dragging an image into the Confluence editor results in the image being loaded as a new page in Chrome. Has this feature been deprecated, or is it just broken?

Yes, apparently it is an ongoing problem.  I submitted a ticket today and this was the response I received:

ADDING ATTACHMENT TODAY: From the description of the problem, it looks like you're hitting a known bug with the drag and drop of attachments feature:

The current workaround is to manually add your attachments to your page using the insert files and images function.
We would suggest adding yourself as a watcher on the bug ticket to receive an email notification once a fix has been implemented and released to all Cloud instances.

Cannot view by Clicking "attachment" on the page - see 2nd image: It looks like this 'Preview' functionality is provided by the add-on GoEdit, which is a 3rd-party add-on which it's currently not active on your instance based on that you mentioned that you've uninstalled it. That's most likely the cause of this issue. Note that, we do not hold the necessary knowledge in terms of usability of 3rd-party add-ons to provide support for it, unfortunately. We usually add the vendor of these add-ons in tickets as cc for further troubleshooting. However, GoEdit doesn't seem to have a representative within our support channel, but you can reach out to them directly through the vendor KontextWork's support channel:
