Is conflunce supposed to be connected to the same SQL database that jira is?

We connected both jira & confluence to the same SQL instance, and are getting continued errors and it's not working properly since then. Help!

Hi Brooklyn Trumpy,

Each application need their own database / schema as the collation for each may differ depending on the product.

You can use the same database engine, that is you dont have to onboard two different database servers, you can use the same database server as far as each application have their own database within the server.

That is likely the problem then. Thank you so much!

Sure!

PS: You will find handy information about how to set up your database for each product within the product documentation itself.
