Hello,
If there is a dispute in court about intellectual property (IP), e.g. patents, etc, would documents in Confluence be considered a good record to prove invention or other IP?
Thanks,
Alex.
@Alex Radnaev That is a great question for a lawyer who specializes in IP, patents, etc. Confluence does track changes and would provide you with specific dates and timelines of when information was documented. How that applies to an actual dispute the lawyer would be able to tell you.
Hi @Alex Radnaev - I agree with @Brant Schroeder but I also found this previous question/answer on the community that might also help: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/If-I-post-data-on-Confluence-is-it-copyright-protected/qaq-p/1516614
