I have created a 3d file with Blend4web ( see Homepage), a Blender script which creates a JSON file or the JSON in a single HTML.

In the above mentioned homapge, you can play with the 3D Logo on the top left.

I would like to incorporate this model in a Altlassian Confluence page we use for sales information. the salepeople and/or dedicated customers can then view the product in 3D, zoom in, etc..

When I try to copy the html file into the HTML macro, it hangs during processing after pressing the "SAVE" button.

How could I integrate the JSON file or HTML code?

Are there other possibilites within Confluence to show an interactive 3D file? WebGL, VRML file, or other files from CAD programs?

Thank you and kind regards,

Dan

I realise this is an old post, but I managed to embed WebGL files into Confluence using an HTML IFrame, using this guide - https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-put-an-iframe-into-confluence-598837531.html

To be clear, what was the URL of the iframe?

Hi,

Embedding interactive 3D content in Confluence is a common need, especially for sales and product teams who want to show models without requiring customers or colleagues to install specialised software.

Rather than trying to embed custom WebGL/HTML, which is complex to maintain and has security restrictions in Confluence Cloud, you might find it easier to use a purpose-built Marketplace app.

CAD 2D and 3D Model Viewer for Confluence supports 70+ formats including common interchange formats like STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, glTF, and FBX, as well as native formats from AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Revit, and Fusion 360. Models are rendered interactively in the page — your sales team and customers can rotate, zoom, and inspect without any plugins or downloads.

The advantage over a custom WebGL approach is that you don't need to maintain any code, and every model you upload is automatically viewable in a consistent way. There's also a Model Catalogue for organising your product models and revision tracking for version control.

Happy to help if you have questions. Here's the Marketplace listing and the documentation.

Cheers,

Leo
