Installing Confluence on IIS

Greg Obleshchuk September 19, 2017

I have been told that I can install Confluence and Jira to run on Windows and use  IIS.

I did my install but it didn't give me any option to do that.

Can some tell me how to do a fresh install and use IIS ?

Atlassian applications do not run on IIS.  You install and run them independently, and they use their own application servers bundled with the installs.

Once you have them working, you often want to put them behind a proxy web server, so you can change ports and/or run them on specific urls that suit your organisation's structures better.

IIS can be used as a proxy web server for them, and I suspect that's what you've been told.  See https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/proxying-atlassian-server-applications-with-microsoft-internet-information-services-iis-833931378.html
