Install system updates

Anand Sakthivel September 30, 2019

Hello,

How safe it is to run system updates on the server when updates are available. We have the following versions installed and running.

Server version: Apache Tomcat/9.0.12

JVM Version: 1.8.0_202-b08

Atlassian Confluence 6.15.2

Ubuntu 18.04.3

Do we have to hold up any packages during upgrade or is it safe to install the updates.

Thank you

Br,

Anand

It is safe to install system updates, except Java, if you have chosen to use your own Java installation instead of the one distributed with Confluence.
