Include Symbols like (*r) in the TOC macro

Is it possible to configure the table of contents macro to show symbols like (*r) i wrote in a header?

Example:

My Header

"A Header (*r)" -> as you know th (*r) is interpretet as a red star

What i see in TOC

"A Header"
