We host our Confluence-based knowledge base externally using Scroll Viewport. However, we’ve noticed that the search functionality on our external site's homepage doesn’t seem to be optimized for flexibility.
For example, when a user types in a keyword, the search results often don’t include relevant articles unless the exact word or phrase appears in the content or title. It doesn’t account for different forms of the same word (e.g., singular/plural, synonyms, etc.), which limits the search experience for our users.
Is there a way to improve this search behavior in Scroll Viewport? Specifically, we’d like to:
- Make search results more intuitive and forgiving (e.g., accounting for variations like singular/plural forms or related keywords).
- Possibly leverage features like synonyms, stemming, or fuzzy search.
Does Scroll Viewport offer any built-in tools for search optimization, or would this require customizations or third-party integrations?
