I have thousands of pages of policy in Word format that I wish to import into an existing policy wiki running on Confluence. There are currently multiple manual editing tasks required to "fix" issues with the imported individual documents. Is there some way to automate the conversion process or customize it so that we don't have to spend thousands of hours manually correcting these issues?
Really, your best bet is to use Confluence's Import Word Document. You might have less to fix if you first make sure the docs are saved with XLS info (they end with .docx).
One trick we use is to create a page in Confluence, then use Export to Word and use that resulting doc as a Word template. This makes the import much more predictable.
