I cannot include code into expand macro

I use /expand to create expanded text.

In there I need to enter the code. But if I run /code snippet it gets populated outside of the expansion.

Why so? any workaround?

Testing on my local site, I was able to add the code block in a expand macro.

Have you tested on different pages?

Can you test on a brand new blank page?
