I am having issues uploading a file that is password protected

I am having issues uploading a file that is password protected

In Edit, then "Insert Files & Images", then "Upload Files" I am repeatedly receiving the message "Error connecting to Server". File will not upload. Is this because the document in question is password protected? I am able to upload other non protected files of the same document type, e.g powerpoint

Hey Rob,

Confluence tries to index every file after the upload so the text in the file is available on confluence search engine. I would expect confluence to be smart enough to ignore the index on these types of files. You could try zipping the file in a folder and try to upload.
