Hyperlinks within pages and across pages are broken in exported PDF of a space.

Sanjivani Iyer November 20, 2024

When I export my space to a PDF, the page links in the TOC and other hyperlinks in the PDF content do not work. This is becoming a big problem as I am considering using Confluence as my source of all user documentation. Exporting to PDF is absolutely essential for me to go ahead with this platform.

Hi @Sanjivani Iyer , can you confirm if you exported your space using Confluence's native exporter, or using a Marketplace app such as Scroll PDF Exporter?

I work for K15t who build Scroll PDF Exporter, so if the export was created with our app, then please send an email to help@k15t.com and we'll make sure to look into the issue. :)

Hi Gabriella,

I used the native PDF exporter.

However, I am keen to understand how the Scroll PDF exporter app can improve the PDF experience.

With which version of Confluence cloud is it compatible?

@Sanjivani Iyer Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

In my response in this post (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Confluence-export-and-hyperlinks/qaq-p/2594035), I explained the link issues I experienced in the PDF I generated.

There was no resolution to this question, so I'm not sure what help to offer (except the knowledge that you are not alone). I don't have a need to generate PDFs, so I have not pursued how to resolve these issues.
