How to use " . " (dot) in confluence label?

Hello, I'd like to ask that how to use . in labels of confluence? In a label for example, "ab.xyz"

Unfortunately you can't as mentioned in this ticket: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-6008 

I would recommend using a hyphen - instead of a . .
So like this: "ab-xyz" .

There are characters that are not allowed in label names, '.' is one of them, surprisingly. There is no other workaround than using a replacement character.
