How to search for key word not on current tab page?

I'm just trying out Tabs Container and Tabs Page(s). Within each Tabs Page is an Include Page or Include Excerpt.
If I'm on the first tab and search for a key word in the Page Tree Search box, there are only search results if the word is on the current tab page.

I was able to achieve this by using tabs to display "include page" macros.  So each tab's content is authored as a sub-page but displayed within the tab.

This works great but has issues with other functions which are more important to me than search (namely inline commenting).

An alternative option is to use any click on the tab to redirect you to the original content document which would allow the inline commenting. But the sudden unwanted page change and subsequent absence of tabs is even worse than the other issues.

Pick your poison i guess?

Kristin, did you ever find an acceptable solution?

I have a similar issue that I cannot find (Cntrl +F) on a tab that is not displayed. Ideally I would like to have our devs write a script that users can search for a word/term/phrase within all tabs on the page.
