How to publish confluence content into social media?

I am working on a collaboration site and I would like to have a space dedicated to events and news and when content is added I would like to have that automatically published to social media like Facebook, twitter, etc.

Is there any best practice for this or Marketplace add on?

Confluence is intended to be read directly, not have bits of pages duplicated over to other systems.

I'm not aware of any add-ons that would directly copy bits of Confluence to Social Media, so I suspect you'll need to write your own.

My instinct would be to reach for Script Runner if you have a simple requirement like "have a button that duplicates a page to X"
