How to merge local accounts to new ldap accounts

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: User Management Troubleshooting and How-To Guides

I just configure Confluence to use LDAP authentication.  There are duplication of previous local accounts and new LDAP accounts.  How can merge old local accounts to new LDAP accounts?

Hi Bill, usernames are not identical, but email addresses are.  Is there some doc for this?  Thanks

if the user name and email address are identical, then you can just delete the internal accounts. There is no merge function

Hi, In Version 7.3 the Internal User can't be removed, when a LDAP User with the same username exists.
Is there a new approach? We would like to merge the local accounts and then completly remove them (except for the admin account)
