How to embed a .pptx on a page | Confluence 5.7

David Stutzman

I have tried using the insert Confluence markup method with the result "unknown macro."

{viewppt:name=My document.pptx }

macro_ppt.PNG

Should I be using Office Connector?

Thanks.

Hi David,

Actually you just need to upload the .pptx as an attachment. Then go to the page and go to _Insert > Other Macros_ and type Powerpoint. That should render the file.

Cheers,
WZ

When I “go to the page and go to _Insert > Other Macros_ and type PowerPoint,” nothing comes up.

FYI my version is 5.6.1 not 5.7 if that matters.

Does the CF System Administrator need to allow access to the Office/PDF macros?

Or is this pptx macro function a default “Other Macro”?

Thanks,

David
