I created a simple template that served my basic page needs. When you created a document with the template, we could define placeholders and layout etc, which was great.
- Template Page 1
Over time, our needs for this template have changed and we'd like to do something more complex when creating the template and create a full structure with multiple templated pages within. Something like this:
- Template Root
- Templated Page 1
- Templated Page 2
- Templated Page A
- Templated Page B
- Templated Page 3
As you can see, there are nested pages here. We'd like this to happen at the click of a given button. With a predefined set of templates we create joined together.
My question
Does any mechanism like this already exists? Is there any way to create a template (or Blueprint) that can ask a couple of question (similar to this modal shown below) that can name the nested pages created?
I'm happy to build a solution to this myself if I can even get some guidelines on how to go about.
Thanks for pointers in advance!
Hello Robert and welcome to the Community!
Great question about creating guided blueprints to create pages with seeded child content. You most likely won't be able to do what you're wanting with a blueprint and will have to either explore an Atlassian Marketplace app or go further with blueprints.
For blueprints, here are the developer resources to start your journey:
I hope the above information proves helpful in creating your custom blueprints to prompt input upon creation.

Hi Stephen,
I attempted to follow the create blueprints walkthrough but get errors:
Not sure if you can help with this.
Thanks,
Robert
