Hi,

I'm a long-time Confluence user in previous jobs. A "Personal Space" is key to my workflow. At my current company, on our Confluence (Cloud) instance, I do not see a Personal Space under my profile, nor do I see the ability to create one.

Could this be a locked-down setting or something? It seems unbelievable that this feature would be turned off as it's so standard. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi @Andy Thelwell

I'd double-check you don't have a personal space first:

  1. Go to Spaces (top navigation bar) > View all spaces
  2. Filter the results to Personal
  3. Search for your name

If there isn't one there, your company might have them switched off via Global Permissions

You should contact your IT Support team to ask if you are able to have one. They could...

  • Create a Group, provide it product access, then add you to it - and grant it access to have a personal Space
  • Create a normal Space, and limit access to just yourself

Hi Andy, based on this other community article I found, if you do not have a personal space, it's possible that the functionality is not turned on by your System Administrator.

It might be worth checking that angle.

Hope it helps.
